As a Recovery Support Worker, you'll make a real difference to their lives as you introduce them to the personal, flexible and realistic support they need to improve the quality of their lives in their communities. Passionate about people, you'll enjoy the scope and support to enhance your own life and career too, as you gain the experience, training and education you need to progress in your career with us.As part of our team at Tameside Community Outreach, which is a brand new service for us, you'll work one-to-one (as well as in groups) with service users, preparing their support plans and gaining a full understanding of their needs and concerns. Helping them with everything from their benefits to booking medical appointments, you'll need to love talking to people with different needs, be interested in helping them and possess a deep level of empathy, understanding and patience.
