The West Kent Drug and Alcohol Wellbeing Service is seeking to employ two Drug and Alcohol Health and Wellbeing Nurses. These posts will be based at the Gravesend Hub. The Health and Wellbeing Nurses will focus on improving the health of service users through health assessments, blood-borne virus screening, and vaccinations, supporting the safe provision of opiate replacement therapy, and the facilitation of community alcohol detoxification.
Alongside a focus on improvements in the health of service users, the successful applicants will also be a resource to colleagues who support service users with complex additional needs. The successful applicants will be part of an established and dynamic service which aims to help people improve their lives. As well as providing direct interventions with service users, the successful applicant will contribute to the ongoing development of the nursing role in the service.
