An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Change Grow Live Birmingham drug & alcohol service, for the role of Engagement Worker (FTC for 6 months). Your base will be Birmingham city centre, however this role may require travelling between sites in the Birmingham area.
The post-holder will deliver a range of interventions, including group work, drop in programmes, semi- and structured key working and outreach support, assessments, needle exchange, risk assessments and risk management plans. They will enable and empower service users to build their own recovery capital, and support them into long term, sustained recovery and social (re)integration.
You will have a good knowledge and experience of group work delivery and working within substance misuse services. You will require excellent communication and engagement skills, and knowledge of comprehensive assessments; recovery planning, risk assessing, risk management planning, and an ability to work well under pressure in order to deliver high quality services.
