Waythrough launched in October 2024 following the merger of Humankind and Richmond Fellowship.

Our vision is to break down the barriers that stop people getting the support they need to live a life they value. We tackle poverty and disadvantage in communities, through mental health, drug and alcohol, housing and related support.

We have two exciting opportunities to join our North Yorkshire Horizon service in Harrogate, which offers individualised support packages for people who are experiencing problematic drug and alcohol use.

Key duties for both roles will include:

• Working proactively to engage with individuals experiencing a range of different complexities and vulnerabilities, delivering a variety of harm reduction interventions on an outreach basis, and working towards supporting a small caseload of these cases towards engaging with wider treatment provision and support.
• Deliver effective harm reduction interventions, including needle exchange, Blood Borne Virus interventions and advice around injecting related issues.
• Promote harm reduction, public health initiatives, messages and campaigns.
• Work with multi-agency partners to reduce the harms and comorbidities multiple disadvantage can bring
